Dovetail is a full service, woman-owned Cultural Resource Management firm headquartered in Fredericksburg, Virginia. Dovetail was founded in 2005 by its principals, Kerri Barile and Mike Carmody, who have decades of experience working with cultural resources across the United States. Recently, Alan Tabachnick joined the firm as Northeast Regional Director, opening a Wilmington, Delaware office to serve clients in the upper mid-Atlantic region—bringing his 28 years of national cultural resource expertise to the team. The company has grown to over 30 staff members, including archaeologists, architectural historians, historians, historic preservation planners, Graphic Information System (GIS) and Computer Aided Design (CAD) specialists, and administrative professionals. The company is certified as a Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Delaware, Maryland, Washington, D.C., Virginia, West Virginia, and North Carolina.
