The US Military's Changing Role in Cultural Resource Stewardship in an Extreme-Weather Future

March 31, 2020 | 2:00 -3:00 PM (EDT) | FREE

As the effects of extreme weather and divergent climatic patterns impact an increasing number of Department of Defense (DoD) facilities, the management and preservation of our collective heritage must be a priority for those working on DoD projects. The DoD’s role in cultural resource stewardship has not changed despite this unpredictable future.

ACRA and the Society for American Military Engineers have joined forces to present the US Military's Changing Role in Cultural Resource Stewardship in an Extreme-Weather Future on March 31 at 2:00 pm EDT. This webinar provides DoD personnel, facility managers, and contractors with an overview of the changing roadmap of cultural resource management in a broad range of geographic and cultural settings and provides resources for personnel to identify and address cultural resource issues today to avoid problems tomorrow.

The expert panel includes Robert Krause of Gray & Pape, ACRA Board of Directors member Mason Miller of Amaterra, and Nicholas (Miki) Schmidt of NOAA's Office for Coastal Management. Learn more about the presenters here.

This webinar is FREE to ACRA members. You can pre-register here or simply join at the start day and time with the log in information. Both the pre-registration discount code and log in information are available to ACRA members here.
